Smallmouth fishing has been great the past couple days! We're starting to see a bunch of really nice fish showing up and despite the forecasts, the weather has been really nice and very fishable. This is one of the best times of year to be up here fishing!
The fish have transitioned a little bit in terms of what they're eating. Our fly fisherman have had a really active topwater bite with classic poppers like the Umpqua Bass popper and of course boogle bugs. Big deer hair divers work really well when there's a bit more of a chop on the water.
On the Light Tackle side, presentations and plastics with very little weight or fished weightless are working well as well as anything that makes a pop on the surface.
