End of May

Rob from Crested Butte, Colorado with a great fly rod smallmouth.  Many different techniques are working for both fly fishing and light tackle angling.

Mike from Green Bay, WI, had a couple really good days on the Bay, with some fantastic topwater fishing.  It's always fun to see these big fish come grab something off the surface.

The weather on the big lake is always crazy.  We were wearing shorts and t-shirts one day and Arctic survival suits the next day.  You gotta love it!

The smallmouth fishing has been fantastic with great numbers of fish around.  The water has warmed up nicely and the weather has been cooperating.  The fish are all over the place, some spots are holding more than others, but they're not too hard to find right now.  The topwater fishing has been really good, and most of the fish we've had in the last few days have come on top, which is really fun.  Fire Tiger Wiggle Minnows have worked when it's sunny, and black has worked when it's overcast.  A wide range of soft plastics are working for our light tackle anglers.
