Full swing

Jim from Duluth hit a good stretch of fish the other day on the fly.  We had a little topwater action in the morning and as the sun got high we sight fished out in the deeper water.  RIO's Outbound Short line with intermediate head got the job done.

Brad from Indianapolis, Indiana, and his crew of guys had a great day with Roger and Luke.  Minimal boat traffic and high numbers of fish made for a great day.  The calm winds were just a bonus.

Lots of eagles keeping watch on the Bay this spring.

Fishing on the Bay is in full swing right now.  Smallmouth fishing has been good despite the daily changes in weather.  One day is warm, the next cool, with all different kinds of wind directions.  Hard to find consistent weather this year, but the fish don't seem to mind too much.  Nice to see good numbers of fish that are already done spawning, and we've also seen a new group of fish move into the shallows in the last day or so.  Lot's of guys are fishing walleyes at the head of the Kakagon and seem to be doing well.
