Weather plays a big role in fishing Lake Superior so we watch the weather like hawks, but in general we always recommend warmer clothing than you might normally expect to need.  Here is a good checklist:
        • Raincoat/warm Jacket
        • Rain pants
        • Baseball cap
        • Sunscreen
        • non-skid shoes (white soled) or Extra Tuffs
        • polarized sunglasses

        Spin Gear

We suggest a medium to heavy weight rod with 6-8lb. test line. Bring a rod that has some back-bone to it. Bring a full tackle box with mixed gear, twister tails, wacky worms,Texas rig, grubs, tubes, crankbaits and spinnerbaits all work well. Split shot and #4size hooks are also essential.

        Flyfishing

We suggest an 8-9 weight rod floating or sinking line, 10# tippet. Clousers, whooly buggers and Crayfish patterns all work well. Oh, and just in case the stars align, bring poppers!
Don't worry, whatever you forget to bring we probably have it in the shop!
